FREE CONCERT by “Off-Duty”
May 5, 2011- 7:00 p.m.
La Crosse City Auditorium - LaCrosse, Kansas
Performance will begin following serving of the meal.
Rush County Sheriff Ward Corsair and retired LaCrosse Chief of Police Leroy Penka have teamed up to provide an evening of down-home entertainment. Their mission? To give back to their community and to thank the barbed wire collectors for their many years of supporting Rush County. They specialize in cowboy and folk music. Corsair and Penka will be joined by Trevor Crowell, Wyatt Corsair, Chance Corsair, and Brad Penka.
Chief Penka and Sheriff Corsair have performed in the past for community events throughout the area. All of the entertainers are donating their time and talents to “ the citizens of Rush County and the barbed wire collectors”.
Performance begins at 7:00 p.m.
A benefit barbecue will begin serving at 6:00 p.m. A free will donation will be taken with proceeds to benefit the Kansas Barbed Wire Museum in their mission to educate the public about the significant role that barbed wire played in the settlement of Kansas and the West.
